About the Opportunity
A fast-growing Series A infrastructure automation startup in New York City is seeking a Fullstack Product Engineer with strong backend depth and product ownership experience to join its highly technical engineering team. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy building customer-facing products end-to-end, thrive in ambiguous startup environments, and want meaningful ownership over both technical architecture and product direction.
The company is building automation tooling focused on everything that happens after deployment, helping engineering teams reduce operational overhead and move faster. Engineers work closely with customers, design, and infrastructure teams to shape intelligent workflows and scalable product experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Design and ship customer-facing product features end-to-end across backend systems and frontend applications
Build APIs, orchestration layers, workflows, and scalable business logic using TypeScript and NestJS
Collaborate closely with infrastructure and platform engineers to integrate core systems into the product experience
Partner directly with customers to refine workflows, validate product ideas, and improve usability
Work closely with design to deliver polished, high-quality React interfaces and interaction patterns
Own ambiguous 0→1 initiatives and drive projects from concept through production deployment
Contribute to technical direction, product strategy, and engineering standards within a small, high-ownership team

Qualifications
6+ years of experience in full-stack engineering with strong backend/system depth
Strong experience with TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, and NestJS
Experience building and owning products end-to-end in startup or fast-paced environments
Strong product thinking and customer-focused feature development experience
Experience leading ambiguous projects with high ownership and autonomy
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally across engineering, design, and product teams
Nice to Have
Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
Background in developer tools, infrastructure, observability, or AI-powered workflows
Experience building customer-facing AI or agentic products
Prior technical leadership or project ownership experience
Strong portfolio, side projects, or open-source contributions
