Assistant Manager- Logistics
Experience: Minimum 7 to 8 yrs. of in Logistics and commercial Management
Job Profile:
We are looking for a reliable Logistics Manager to be responsible for the overall supply chain management. Responsibilities are: -
Strategically plan and manage logistics, transportation and customer services.
Co-ordinating inbound and outbound material.
Liaise and negotiate with transporters.
Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
Prepare plan routes and process shipments.
Resolve any arising problems or complaints during transportation of goods from factory to customer
Select carriers for transportation and negotiate rates and contracts with carriers.
Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements
Should have through knowledge of Export and Import documents and requirements.
Negotiating rates and maintaining relationships with transporters, suppliers and freight forwarders.
Handling of packaging of materials.
Knowledge of shipment / sample booking through courier companies like FedEx / DHL / Blue Dart.
Other Attributes:
Good communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
Self-motivated, intelligent, dynamic person who can quickly learn
Good analytical skill.
Building and retaining relationships Various transport company.
Ability to work independently.
Should be able to handle work pressure.
Aggressively result oriented and self-starter.
