Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Civil Construction Supervisor to oversee all civil works activities related to the construction of an industrial treatment facility and its associated infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that construction activities are executed in accordance with engineering designs, technical specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and project schedules.
This role requires extensive field supervision experience in large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects, including concrete structures, earthworks, underground utilities, and large-diameter piping systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Review existing civil engineering documentation, including drawings, calculations, and technical specifications, and provide recommendations for improvements or adjustments before and during construction.
Verify the correct field positioning and layout of structures, tanks, buildings, and other civil components based on approved drawings and survey data.
Inspect large-diameter Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) piping systems and connections to assess condition, suitability for installation, and repair requirements.
Supervise the installation and inspection of underground pipelines, including process piping, drainage systems, and utility networks.
Coordinate and oversee earthworks, soil improvement activities, backfilling, and compaction operations, ensuring compliance with project specifications and testing requirements.
Verify the timely installation of underground conduits and duct banks for electrical, lighting, control, communication, and grounding systems, coordinating activities with earthworks and structural construction.
Supervise the construction of process buildings, reinforced concrete tanks, elevated tanks, structural systems, and major civil infrastructure works.
Ensure proper use of construction materials, including reinforcing steel, formwork, concrete, expansion joints, and related components.
Monitor concrete placement, curing procedures, and quality control activities to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Prepare daily and weekly progress reports, documenting construction status, incidents, non-conformities, and corrective actions.
Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation teams to resolve construction interfaces and ensure proper integration of equipment, piping, and support systems with civil structures.
Promote and enforce compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout all civil construction activities.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
Professional engineering registration or equivalent qualification preferred.
Additional training or specialization in structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, hydraulic infrastructure, or construction management is an advantage.
Experience:
Minimum 10–15 years of experience supervising civil construction works on industrial or infrastructure projects.
Proven experience in:
Wastewater treatment plants or similar industrial process facilities.
Construction of reinforced concrete tanks, including elevated tanks.
Large-scale reinforced concrete and structural civil works.
Earthworks, soil stabilization, controlled backfilling, and compaction activities.
Installation and supervision of underground utility and process piping systems.
Installation or supervision of large-diameter FRP piping systems.
Technical Skills:
Advanced ability to read and interpret civil and structural engineering drawings.
Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete structures and tank construction methods.
Understanding of soil improvement techniques, compaction control requirements, and laboratory/field testing procedures.
Knowledge of FRP piping installation standards, underground pipeline construction, bedding preparation, side fills, and cover requirements.
Familiarity with coordination requirements involving electrical and control systems, including conduits, duct banks, embedded components, and service crossings.
Working knowledge of construction management tools such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar software.

Willingness to reside in or relocate to the project location for the duration of the project.
Availability to work primarily in field-based environments and active construction sites.
Ability to work outdoors and oversee construction activities at various stages of development.
