Administration and Finance Manager

Sperton Global AS, a global recruitment and consulting firm with offices across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, is partnering with a leading logistics and supply chain solutions provider in Mexico to hire an Administration and Finance Manager based in Mexico City.
Role Overview
The Administration and Finance Manager will lead the company's accounting, tax compliance, and financial reporting functions, ensuring the organization meets all regulatory and fiscal obligations in Mexico. Overseeing a team of accounting professionals across budget, accounts payable, and billing/cash functions, the successful candidate will safeguard the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial information while supporting audits, insurance management, and executive-level reporting.
Responsibilities
Supervise the timely and accurate filing of tax obligations (VAT, income tax, and other SAT requirements), including mandatory electronic invoicing.
Ensure the company's accounting records and financial statements comply with Mexican Financial Reporting Standards (NIF).
Prepare accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports, for management decision-making.
Coordinate and supervise internal and external audits, ensuring full transparency and availability of required information.
Manage the contracting, renewal, and accounting of insurance policies, including claims recovery.
Oversee accounts payable, budget/expense control, and electronic billing functions through a team of direct reports.
Ensure adequate document retention in line with legal requirements, in both physical and electronic form.
Prepare executive reports for senior leadership and the Board as required.
Approve vacations, permits, training, and personnel movements for direct reports.
Ensure compliance with the company's health, safety, and Quality Management System standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
5+ years of experience in financial reporting, general accounting, and tax compliance, including direct supervision of SAT obligations.
5+ years of experience coordinating or leading internal/external audits.
3+ years of experience managing insurance policies, premiums, and claims.
Working knowledge of SAP, Oracle, or similar accounting/ERP systems; Power BI a plus.
English proficiency at a B2 (upper-intermediate) level or above.
Based in or able to commute reliably to Mexico City
