PLM Project Manager
Lead enterprise PLM transformation projects in Västerås, working with SAP, Teamcenter, Agile delivery, and global engineering teams in a large-scale digital transformation program.
Location: Västerås, Sweden (Hybrid – 3 days/week on-site, some travel to Ludvika)

About the Role
We are hiring on behalf of one of our clients for an experienced PLM Project Manager to support a large-scale Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) transformation program.
In this role, you will lead mid-sized PLM implementation projects while coordinating business stakeholders, IT teams, architects, developers, and engineering functions. You will play a key role in improving project governance, driving business adoption, and ensuring successful implementation of engineering applications including PLM, CAD, and ECAD solutions.
This position requires an experienced project manager who combines strong project delivery capabilities with business transformation experience in enterprise PLM environments.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
Lead PLM implementation projects from planning through delivery.
Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, resource plans, and status reporting.
Manage project risks, dependencies, issues, and change requests.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
PLM Business Transformation
Support implementation of Product Lifecycle Management solutions across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain functions.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate business requirements into implementation plans.
Support business adoption and change management activities.
Coordinate implementation activities with architects, business analysts, and development teams.
Process & Governance
Improve project management methodologies and ways of working.
Define and monitor KPIs related to quality, project progress, testing, and delivery.
Improve reporting structures and executive project communication.
Create clear project governance, roles, responsibilities, and working methods.
Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with global and cross-functional teams.
Communicate project progress to leadership and key stakeholders.
Support go-live planning and post-implementation stabilization.
Drive continuous improvements throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business Management, or a related field.
6–10 years of professional experience with at least 4 years in Project Management and PLM business implementations.
Experience leading large implementation or transformation projects.
Experience with SAP and SAP S/4HANA.
Experience working with one or more PLM platforms such as Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE, Aras, or similar.
Strong experience working with global or cross-regional teams.
Hands-on experience with project planning, resource planning, and financial forecasting.
Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Experience working in Agile implementation environments.
Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office.
PMP or PRINCE2 certification.
Fluent English, spoken and written.
Valid SSG-Entré certificate.
Ability to work on-site in Västerås at least three days per week.
Willingness to travel between Västerås and Ludvika when required.
