Senior Project Manager – Engineering Delivery Projects
Lead complex engineering delivery projects in Ludvika, managing project execution, stakeholders, budgets, and cross-functional teams in an international energy environment.

About the Role
We are hiring on behalf of one of our clients for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead medium to large-scale delivery projects within a highly technical engineering environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for the successful execution of customer projects from planning through delivery, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to contractual and quality requirements. You will lead cross-functional project teams, coordinate internal and external stakeholders, manage risks, and drive project performance throughout the project lifecycle.
This role is ideal for an experienced project leader with a strong engineering background, proven experience managing complex technical projects, and excellent stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership
Lead medium to large-scale customer delivery projects from initiation through completion.
Define project execution strategies and delivery plans.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to quality and safety standards.
Lead multidisciplinary project teams and coordinate internal and external resources.
Project Planning & Delivery
Develop project schedules, resource plans, budgets, and forecasts.
Monitor project progress and proactively manage risks and issues.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project milestones.
Drive project recovery plans when challenges arise.
Stakeholder & Customer Management
Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Manage customer expectations throughout project execution.
Handle negotiations, change requests, deviations, and claims when required.
Provide regular project reporting to management and customers.
Financial & Risk Management
Monitor project financial performance and profitability.
Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
Requirements
Minimum 6 years of experience managing engineering or technical projects.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or another technical degree with 10–15 years of relevant professional experience.
Experience leading medium to large and technically complex projects.
Strong project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management skills.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience managing suppliers, customer relationships, and contractual obligations.
Fluent English, both written and spoken.
Certified Senior Project Manager, PMP®, or IPMA Level B/C certification.
Valid SSG-Entré certificate.
Ability to work primarily on-site in Ludvika.
Nice to Have
Previous experience with HVDC Control & Protection projects.
Experience working with customers in Central Europe.
Swedish language skills.
