Location: Downtown San Francisco, California (5 days/week onsite)
Employment Type: Full-time
Compensation: $185,000 - $225,000 Base + Competitive Equity

Instead of asking businesses to switch accounting platforms, they enables vertical SaaS platforms and fintech companies to embed accounting directly into their own products through APIs and embeddable UI components.
Backed by Better Tomorrow Ventures and Emergence Capital, they have raised over $9M in funding and is building with a lean team of engineers focused on shipping high-quality products with significant ownership.
About the Role
They are looking for a Frontend Engineer to help build and maintain the company's public React component library that customers integrate directly into their own applications.
Unlike traditional frontend roles focused on building websites, this position centers around creating reusable, highly customizable UI components that other engineering teams rely on in production.
You'll work closely with the founding engineering team to solve challenging frontend problems around component architecture, styling, customization, backwards compatibility, accessibility, and internationalization.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain their public React component library published through NPM.
Design reusable, scalable UI components consumed by external engineering teams.
Develop highly configurable frontend components supporting branding, theming, and customization.
Own frontend projects from architecture through production deployment.
Ensure backwards compatibility across releases while maintaining a high-quality developer experience.
Collaborate closely with backend engineers, product, and design in a fast-paced startup environment.
Write clean, maintainable, well-tested TypeScript code.
Improve performance, accessibility, and developer experience across the frontend platform.
Required Qualifications
2-7 years of professional frontend engineering experience.
Strong production experience with React and TypeScript.
Experience building reusable component libraries, design systems, SDKs, or embeddable UI products.
Strong understanding of component architecture, styling systems, state management, accessibility, and frontend performance.
Experience working on high-performing product engineering teams.
Meaningful full-time US-based software engineering experience.
Ability to work onsite in Downtown San Francisco five days per week.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience publishing or maintaining NPM packages.
Experience building developer-facing products or SDKs.
Startup experience (Seed to Series D preferred).
Experience with Storybook, SCSS, testing frameworks, and modern frontend tooling.
Experience working with design systems used across multiple products.
