About the Role:
We are looking for an "Assistant Manager Sales" from a Mechanical Engineering background to join one of our client's team on full-time onsite basis in Karachi, Pakistan.
The role focuses on business development, technical sales, client coordination, and application support for firefighting systems and mechanical products while ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and customer requirements.
What You'll Do?
Develop and expand business opportunities for firefighting systems and mechanical products.
Promote firefighting products including fire pumps, hydrant systems, sprinkler systems, valves, and related accessories.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
Review project specifications, BOQs, drawings, and tender documents to propose compliant technical solutions.
Prepare technical and commercial proposals, quotations, compliance statements, and tender submissions.
Provide technical support and application engineering solutions to customers and consultants.
Coordinate with principals/vendors for product selection, approvals, and technical clarifications.
Conduct site visits, surveys, client meetings, and technical presentations.
Liaise with consultants and contractors to secure product approvals and project specifications.
Ensure compliance with NFPA standards, local regulations, and project requirements.
Achieve assigned sales targets and ensure timely follow-up on inquiries, quotations, and payments.
Coordinate internally with procurement, estimation, and project execution teams for smooth project handling.
Maintain updated records of sales activities, customer interactions, and project status.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and new business opportunities.
Who You Are?
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in firefighting systems, fire protection solutions, or similar mechanical industrial products.
Strong knowledge of firefighting systems including fire pumps, hydrant systems, sprinkler systems, valves, and firefighting accessories.
Familiarity with NFPA standards and local fire safety regulations.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant design/software applications.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and client-handling abilities.
Self-motivated and target-oriented mindset.
Performance Metrics:
Achievement of monthly and annual sales targets.
Number of new clients and business opportunities developed.
Timely submission of proposals, quotations, and tenders.
Customer satisfaction and relationship management.
Success rate of project approvals and order conversions.
Compliance with technical standards and project requirements.
Effective coordination with consultants, contractors, and vendors.
Timely collection and follow-up of payments.
Accuracy and quality of technical/commercial documentation.
