Senior Package Responsible Engineer (PRE)

Assignment Description
Responsible for assigned package deliveries according to project requirements and specifications. The role involves preparing technical specifications, conducting bid evaluations, preparing for order placement, reviewing technical documentation, and communicating with suppliers and clients.
The position includes technical responsibility for the following safety procurement packages:
• Escape chutes with life raft
• Firefighting equipment (Deluge skid)
• Miscellaneous safety equipment (MOB boat cabinet, safety station cabinets, fire extinguishers, safety showers, eyewash bottles, emergency hospital equipment)
The role also involves coordinating multidisciplinary procurement packages as a Package Responsible Engineer (PRE) and ensuring the correct quality throughout all delivery phases.
Job Responsibilities
• Work as a Package Responsible Engineer (PRE) for assigned deliveries
• Prepare technical specifications
• Conduct bid evaluations
• Prepare for order placement
• Review technical documentation
• Communicate with suppliers and clients
• Take technical responsibility for assigned safety procurement packages
• Coordinate multidisciplinary procurement packages
• Ensure correct quality throughout all delivery phases
Requirements
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree or other relevant education, preferably within mechanical/safety engineering
• Minimum 5 years of working experience with the listed work tasks in offshore detail engineering projects
• Minimum 2 years of PRE experience
• Experience within the offshore industry and mechanical/safety equipment
• Good knowledge of NORSOK standards
• Understanding of the need for good relations within multidisciplinary coordination and ability to deliver accordingly
• Ability to work independently and thoroughly as well as in a team
• Good communication skills
• High loyalty to deadlines and quality requirements
• Proactive approach, seeking advice and sharing own experiences with others
• Good communication skills in English
• Experience with PIMS, ProArc and COMOS is a benefit
• Local candidate preferred
• Long relevant experience can compensate for formal education
Experience Level
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with the specified work tasks in offshore detail engineering projects
• Minimum 2 years of PRE experience
• Experience within the offshore industry and mechanical/safety equipment
