A leading organization in the shipbuilding industry is seeking a highly motivated Warranty and After-Sales Technician. Based in Guyana, you will ensure the proper handling of warranty calls and customer support requests after vessel delivery, coordinating with Vessel Warranty and Support Manager based in Panama.
🔹About the Role:
You will be the primary act as Warranty and After-Sales Technician, ensuring seamless communication and efficient resolution of technical issues related to warranty and support. This includes handling of warranty calls and customer support requests after vessel delivery.

🔹What you will do:
✅ Vessel Warranty Management:
- Assist in vessel delivery at the client site.
- Act as the customer’s technical point of contact during the warranty period of the vessel(s) under your responsibility.
- Ensure customer satisfaction while protecting the company’s interests.
- Provide regular reporting to the Technical Support Manager.
- Conduct onboard diagnostics and repairs, or organize and lead technical interventions onboard, performed by company’s or supplier technicians, including the provision of spare parts and tools.
- Carry out similar missions within the scope of after-sales service (refits, technical stops, operational maintenance, etc.)
- Occasionally conduct training sessions on the use and maintenance of vessels
✅Technical Support Management:
- Provide local warranty and after-sales services in Guyana.
- Assist with support systems (spares, tools, documentation).
- Collaborate on vessel maintenance planning.
- Support fault diagnostics.
- Inform the shipyard of client needs (training, spares, interventions).
- Handle after-sales service tasks (refits, maintenance, etc.).
🔹What you bring:
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience
- Former merchant navy officer or non-commissioned officer (engine room officer, etc.), or someone with a technical background (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic), preferably in the maritime field.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to listen and communicate effectively allow you to build trust with both clients and internal teams.
- Diplomatic approach to all interactions (customer handling and/or customer interaction).
- Fluent in English (Spanish is a plus).
- Proficiency in standard IT tools.
