Job Title: Proposal Engineer – Wastewater

Experience: 6 to 12 years
Location: Airoli, Navi Mumbai

Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Proposal Engineer to lead and support techno-commercial proposal development for STP (Sewage Treatment Plant), ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant) projects. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in wastewater process design and strong proposal writing capabilities, along with excellent coordination and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare comprehensive techno-commercial proposals for STP, ETP, and ZLD systems.

• Conduct process study and plant hydraulic design for wastewater treatment systems.

• Participate in site surveys, assess client requirements, and identify critical pain points.

• Ensure on-time submission of proposals as per client or internal deadlines.

• Collaborate with the zonal sales team to discuss proposal highlights and align solutions.

• Provide technical support to the project execution team and resolve on-site challenges.

• Source and evaluate quotes from OEMs/vendors, discuss technical specifications, and maintain a vendor database.

• Coordinate multitasking efforts across departments to deliver optimized proposals.

• Continuously explore and apply technical advancements to enhance project solutions.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of:

  • STP technologies: MBBR, MBR

  • ETP systems: Biological and Inorganic processes

  • ZLD systems: MEE (Multiple Effect Evaporator)

  • Optional: WTP (Water Treatment Plant) process understanding

• Proficiency in:

  • AutoCAD (especially P&ID and layout interpretation)

  • Process design calculations

  • Cost estimation and pricing strategy

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong ability to multitask, work independently, and meet deadlines.

• Willingness to travel for client meetings and site assessments.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Execute process calculations and hydraulic design of treatment plants.

2. Submit accurate and timely proposals aligned with client needs.

3. Demonstrate technical competence to offer value-driven solutions.

4. Maintain and update supplier and vendor databases.

5. Manage multiple projects and proposal activities simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.

• 6–12 years of hands-on experience in wastewater proposal engineering or design.

• Experience in dealing with diverse industrial segments like textile, dairy, food & beverage, petrochemical, etc.
