Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Professional Engineer (PE) – Group Manager to lead engineering operations in our Morgantown, WV office. This leadership role combines technical expertise, business development, and people management. You will oversee engineering projects, supervise staff, manage budgets, and ensure the highest standards of safety and service delivery while building strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee engineering projects across planning, design, and execution phases.
- Supervise and mentor staff engineers, fostering professional development and technical excellence.
- Manage profit and loss (P&L), budgets, schedules, and resources.
- Drive business development initiatives, including client relationship management and proposal preparation.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Contribute to the growth of the office by identifying opportunities aligned with local and regional engineering trends.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program (required).
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license (required).
- 8+ years of engineering experience, preferably with a geotechnical background.
- Proven project management and leadership experience.
- Business acumen with P&L management experience.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with local/regional engineering trends is preferred.
