Reporting: Head- Finance & Operations
Location: Chiplun, Maharashtra
Education Qualification: MCOM & CA/CWA , or CWA, CA Inter
Technical & Professional Knowledge required: Preferable with previous experience of 10-15 years working in Plant Finance & Costing & good understanding of Accounts & Finance activities
Experience required
- a)Has full knowledge on Advanced Excel and should be good at visualising data and analysis
- b)Very good communication skills
- c)Prior experience of working in Plant Finance & Costing function is must
- d) Expert Knowledge of SAP in FICO, SD, MM
Purpose
- Responsible for providing monthly cost data MIS to the Management at plant and HO
- Supporting business for Various Cost Savings Proposals
- Responsible for Yearly Budgeting Exercise by way of co-ordination with all departments at plant
- Responsible for Physical Stock Take & provision working at plant
- Supervising maintainance of SAP data related to Costing and Routing
- Monthly monitoring statutory compliance payments & returns like (TDS, GST, PF, PT, ESIC, MLWF)
- Prepare forecasts per pcs estimated cost on monthly basis as per production plan all plant (CPN, JKTL, VAPI) and compare with actual for variations
Roles & Responsibility
- Monthly closing of Accounts, Financial MIS, Quarterly Audit, yearly audit, with schedule, JKTL financial & WBR Monitoring daily production, manufacturing cost, budget vs actual analysis & variance, overhead expenses, scrutiny of GL
- Monitoring accounts payable/receivable, cash payment, general ledger, payroll and utilities, budget vs actual variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, CWIP-fixed asset activity.
- Weekly review open PO and GRIRs and follow up with concerned functions for timely closure.
- Weekly basis monitoring plant overheads. If there is anything beyond the budget will send for leadership approval. Weekly review all intercompany transactions JKEL vs JKTL
- Monthly closing activity P&L and Balance Sheet, WBR, Inventory ageing. Analysis budget vs actual variances and explanations to management.
- Ensure timely execution of monthly cost run and variance settlement in SAP, as a non-negotiable part of the month-end process.
- Monitor and reconcile standard vs. actual cost variances, coordinate with operations to drive cost control and accuracy.
- Lead the material ledger closing process, ensuring accurate capture of production, inventory, and cost flows.
- Maintain integrity of Bill of Materials (BoM) and routing data, with regular collaboration with production planning and costing teams.
- Drive improvements in product costing logic, overhead recovery, and cost center allocations.
- Coordinate with IT and controlling teams to resolve SAP-related costing issues (e.g., CK11N, CK40N, settlement failures).
- Implement internal controls around manual cost adjustments, inventory valuation, and transfer pricing.
- Ensure discipline in WIP calculation, inventory aging, and NRV provisioning per company policy.
- Prepare forecasts per pcs estimated cost on monthly basis as per production plan all plant (CPN, JKTL, )
- Monitor and implement plant internal controls (in conjunction with corporate policies) as necessary to ensure reporting integrity, safeguard company assets, and identify risks.
- Monthly review & verify cost saving projects running at plant.
- Coordination with GST officer Ratnagiri and other government authorities life (PT, ESIC, PF) as needed to meet their requirements. Monthly ancillary material rejection and Scrap controls. If anything, beyond the allowable limit raise the debit note.
- Monthly monitoring statutory compliance payments & returns like (TDS, GST, PF, PT, ESIC, MLWF) Physical verification top 10 SKU on monthly basis (Stores/Raw Material/WIP/FG)
- Monitoring filling Return - National Sample Survey - JKFEL & JKTL. Preparation plant costing schedule on yearly basis.
