Role Overview:
Our client is expanding its high-performing team in Södertälje and SPERTON is seeking a skilled Automation Engineer on its behalf to manage, service, and optimize the advanced automation systems at one of the world's most innovative pharmaceutical facilities.
In this role, you will be at the forefront of smart property technology, leveraging Schneider Electric solutions to help us achieve its ambitious sustainability goals. You will work within a unique technical environment characterized by high complexity and cutting-edge systems, where your problem-solving skills will directly contribute to life-saving industrial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Technical Operations & Maintenance:
System Management: Lead the daily operation, service, and troubleshooting of Schneider Electric DUC and SCADA solutions across various industrial property types.
Infrastructure Oversight: Take responsibility for the health of SCADA system servers, clients, networks, and software.
HVAC Integration: Troubleshoot and optimize building automation systems with a specific focus on HVAC efficiency and performance.
Proactive Maintenance: Execute preventive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and ensure system reliability for our unique facilities.
2) Engineering & Project Delivery:
Technical Implementation: Develop and implement innovative technical solutions to enhance facility automation and energy efficiency.
Collaboration: Act as a technical bridge between clients, suppliers, operations staff, and project managers.
Operational Strategy: Participate in operational and project meetings to drive continuous improvement and schedule adherence.
3) Customer & Business Development:
Relationship Management: Maintain a regular, professional dialogue with customers and internal stakeholders.
Growth Initiatives: Identify opportunities for system upgrades and technical improvements, promoting up-selling to further develop the account.
Essential Requirements:
* Education & Experience
Academic Background: Technical education at a high school or university level, or equivalent experience with a focus on Control/Rules or Automation.
Software Expertise: Proven experience in DUC programming and the commissioning of Schneider Electric Xenta or AS-P (EcoStruxure) platforms.
Technical Breadth: A strong understanding of HVAC systems and their integration into building management systems (BMS).
IT Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of data management, servers, and industrial networks is considered a strong advantage.
* Skills & Competencies:
Language: Professional proficiency in both Swedish and English.
Mobility: Valid B Driving License.
Independence: Ability to plan your own time and act independently while remaining a collaborative team player.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with specialized technical teams and pharmaceutical clients.
