Role Summary:
We are seeking a "Supervisor of Production Maintenance" for one of our clients who are a global fintech leader providing essential technology and operations for investing, corporate governance, and communications, powering major financial markets by connecting companies and investors with solutions for asset management, capital markets, wealth management, and more, known for its scale, innovation, and role in processing massive volumes of financial transactions and investor communications.
As a Supervisor, you will lead our Technical Support Department. Reporting to the Manager or Sr. Director of Production Tech Support, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and operational efficiency of high-volume production equipment. This is a leadership role that requires a blend of technical expertise in electronics/mechanics and strong supervisory skills to manage a team of production mechanics.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Technical Oversight & Maintenance:
Mechanical Support: Provide direction and hands-on mechanical support to production mechanics. Monitor work-in-progress to ensure equipment repairs are completed swiftly to maintain workflow.
Preventive Maintenance: Monitor and enforce scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) to minimize unexpected downtime.
Inventory Management: Oversee parts inventory for all equipment, providing detailed ordering lists including vendor costs.
Throughput Optimization: Monitor and maximize machine throughput and ensure the team meets or exceeds Cost Per Unit (CPU) targets (labor, overtime, inventory).
2) Team Leadership & Administration:
Supervision: Manage department personnel records, monitor performance, and verify that all departmental procedures and paperwork are followed correctly.
Personnel Management: Responsible for rewarding, recognizing, and disciplining associates to maintain a high-performing team.
Acting Management: Assume full responsibilities for the Department Manager in their absence.
Innovation: Stay current on new technologies and equipment relevant to technical support and production operations.
Qualifications:
* Education & Technical Skills:
Education: Associate’s degree or completion of a Technical/Trade School.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in the operation and repair of production equipment.
Specialized Knowledge: Proficiency in repairing insertion and bindery equipment.
Electronics: Significant experience with electronic and electric circuits is necessary. Electrical and electronics repair background is a major plus.
Software: Knowledge and experience with Jet/IQ reporting tools.
* Leadership Experience:
Supervisory: Minimum of 1+ year(s) of supervisory experience specifically within a high-volume production environment.
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive Salary: Market Competitive salary based on experience.
Shift Premium: 10% shift differential for evening/night work.
Bonus: Eligible for an annual performance-based bonus.
Shift & Schedule:
Standard (Off-Peak): Monday – Friday, 6:00 PM – 2:30 AM
Peak Season: Monday – Friday, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
