Role Overview
We are looking for a Junior R&D Software Development Engineer to join our client's R&D team in Ludvika. In this role, you will work with software development across the full lifecycle from requirements and design to verification, while following established engineering processes and tools. Under guidance from senior engineers, you will contribute to development activities, support continuous improvement initiatives, and play a key role in mentoring junior developers within a collaborative engineering team.
What You’ll Do
Work with requirements management, software design, design reviews, and functional verification
Ensure both functional and non-functional requirements (cost, quality, time) are met
Follow defined development processes and tools
Perform engineering tasks under guidance, applying standard engineering principles
Contribute to initiatives that improve team effectiveness and customer satisfaction
Support compliance with legal and regulatory requirements where applicable
Act as a mentor to junior developers, promoting good coding practices
Collaborate within an Agile/Scrum-based team of approximately 5 engineers
Work primarily with PowerShell and IT infrastructure-related development
Who You Are
2–6 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or Another technical degree with 10–15 years of relevant work experience
Strong working knowledge of PowerShell
Experience with IT infrastructure and Windows Server
Experience working in Agile / Scrum frameworks
Valid SSG-Entré certificate
English – fluent (mandatory) and Swedish language skills (advantageous)
Experience working in the Nordic countries (advantageous)
