Role Overview
The Business Development Assistant will support the BD team by preparing quantity take-offs, costing, tender documentation, drawings, presentations, and client submission packages. The role requires a techno-commercial understanding of project estimation and proposal workflows.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in preparation of techno-commercial proposals, BOQs, tender documentation, rate sheets, and bid submissions.
• Perform quantity take-offs, rate analysis, and costing of civil and finishing works based on drawings.
• Prepare and update AutoCAD drawings, technical schematics, construction detailing, and support documents required for proposals.
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to collect rates, specifications, and technical information.
• Support BD Officer in client meetings through MOM preparation, follow-up schedules, and documentation.
• Maintain databases of enquiries, material prices, subcontractor quotations, and proposal submissions.
• Track tender deadlines, update MIS, and ensure timely submission of proposals.
• Assist in creating method statements, schedules, work breakdown structures, and other technical documents as required.
Skills & Competencies
• Strong knowledge of estimation, costing, rate analysis, and quantity surveying.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel (mandatory).
• Good understanding of drawings and construction practices.
• Detail-oriented, disciplined, and strong documentation skills.
• Ability to work under tight timelines and support multiple bid submissions.
