Responsibilities:
Develop new user-facing features and interactive web components.
Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into responsive, high-quality code.
Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and performance.
Implement responsive design principles for mobile and cross-device compatibility.
Validate user input before submission to back-end services.
Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate APIs and services.
Ensure cross-browser compatibility and resolve front-end performance issues.
Conduct testing and debugging to improve usability.
Stay up to date with emerging front-end technologies and best practices.
Skills and Qualifications:
Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript and modern frameworks/libraries (e.g., ReactJS, AngularJS, Vue.js, etc.).
Experience with client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery.
Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms such as LESS or SASS.
Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, AJAX, and RESTful APIs.
Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and how to resolve them.
Experience with code versioning tools such as Git (preferred), Mercurial, or SVN.
Basic knowledge of image editing tools such as Photoshop or GIMP.
Strong understanding of responsive and mobile-first design principles.
Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring applications adhere to them.
Familiarity with build tools such as Webpack, Gulp, or NPM is a plus.
Knowledge of testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, etc.) is an advantage.
