About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated Maintenance Engineer for one of our client's to join their Reliability & Maintenance team in Stavanger, Norway.
This role is central to ensuring that reliability and maintainability are integrated into our engineering solutions from the earliest stages. You will work across various study projects, collaborating with multiple disciplines to develop robust maintenance strategies for both topside and subsea assets on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS).
What You'll Do:
Maintenance Strategy: Evaluate and develop maintenance strategies, procedures, and systems for complex topside and subsea equipment.
Engineering Integration: Interface with design disciplines to ensure that reliability and maintainability are "built-in" to engineering solutions.
Study Phase Execution: Perform maintenance engineering activities specifically within early-phase studies, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry standards.
Technical Documentation: Interpret and utilize P&IDs, equipment datasheets, technical drawings, and Installation, Operation, and Maintenance (IOM) manuals.
Collaboration: Participate in client meetings and technical reviews; contribute to bid and proposal work as required.
Who You Are?
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline. Technical certifications in maintenance or reliability engineering are highly advantageous.
Experience: Proven experience in maintenance engineering within the oil & gas or energy sectors.
Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant NORSOK standards and HAVTIL (formerly PSA) regulations.
Technical Skills: Solid understanding of reliability engineering principles (e.g., FMECA, RCM) and operations and maintenance activities.
Language: Professional fluency in both English and Norwegian (written and spoken).
Software & Systems:
Proficiency or familiarity with the following tools is essential:
CMMS Systems: SAP PM, IFS, Maximo, or WorkMate.
Specialized Tools: Kamfer, Miriam, Fcat, BiCycle.
General: Advanced use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Candidates will be assessed based on the following prioritized skills:
Maintenance Engineering Expertise: Demonstrated ability to apply reliability principles to industrial assets.
Early Phase Studies: Experience in conceptual and FEED phases where maintenance philosophy is defined.
Consequence Classification: Ability to categorize equipment based on criticality to safety, environment, and production.
Maintenance Program Development: Experience in building preventive maintenance (PM) programs from scratch or optimizing existing ones.
