Role Overview
We are hiring a Senior Network Engineer (CCIE level) for one of our clients to design, implement, and support complex network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, WLAN, Data Center) for a major financial organization in Athens. This senior role requires 15+ years of experience, strong troubleshooting expertise, and the ability to manage critical production environments independently.
What You’ll Do
Design, develop, implement, operate, and support networking infrastructure (LAN/WAN/WLAN/DC/Backbone)
Manage IP addressing, traffic, RIPE updates, and network expansions
Troubleshoot complex client-critical production network issues and provide root-cause analysis
Act as SME, review technical work, and escalate urgent situations
Follow ITSM procedures (Incident, Change Management, etc.)
Evaluate/select network architectures/solutions
Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and telecom providers
Document network designs, operations procedures, and standards
Update network documentation library
Conduct knowledge transfer/instructional sessions
Who You Are
Must-Have Requirements
University/College degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Digital Systems, or related field
At least 15 years of working experience in network design, implementation, and support
Active CCIE certification
In-depth understanding of protocols (IP, TCP, UDP, HTTP, IPSEC, OSPF, BGP, QoS, vPC, STP, SD-WAN, SDAccess, Wireless, etc.)
Solid knowledge of Cisco IOS/NX-OS, Data Center concepts (Overlays, CLOS, VXLAN, DCI)
Hands-on experience with monitoring/diagnostic/analytics tools.
Mandatory Skills:
Genesys Contact Center
HP Data Center / Branch Routers and Switches
Juniper Data Center / Branch Routers and Switches
Nice to Have
Knowledge of network security principles, PCI compliance, firewalls, SSL VPN, IPS/IDS, SIEM
Experience with VXLAN Fabric/overlays
Public cloud networking (Azure, AWS, GCP) certifications/experience
