CAD Designer
Job Summary:
This position involves creating accurate, production-ready CAD designs for gold and diamond jewellery, collaborating closely with design, product development, and manufacturing teams to ensure high-quality and commercially viable products.
Key Responsibilities:
Create detailed and precise CAD models for gold, diamond jewellery based on design briefs and sketches.
Develop production-ready CAD files ensuring manufacturability, stone setting feasibility, and weight optimization.
Collaborate with manual designers and product development teams to translate concepts into functional CAD designs.
Make modifications and improvements to CAD designs based on feedback from management, clients, or production teams.
Ensure designs meet quality standards, cost parameters, and brand guidelines.
Coordinate with manufacturing teams to resolve technical issues related to casting, setting, and finishing.
Maintain accurate documentation of CAD files, versions, and design approvals.
Stay updated with the latest jewellery design trends, technologies, and CAD software advancements.
Practical experience in sampling, prototyping, and design presentations preferred.
Adhere to project timelines and ensure on-time delivery of CAD outputs.
Key Skills & Knowledge:
Strong proficiency in jewellery CAD software such as Rhino, Matrix, MS Excel or similar tools.
In-depth knowledge of jewellery manufacturing processes, stone setting techniques, and metal properties.
Good communication and coordination skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Strong commercial awareness related to costing, weight control, and production feasibility.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
6–8 years of hands-on experience as a CAD Designer in the jewellery industry.
Knowledge of MS Excel, Power point is must.
Exposure to retail, export, or branded jewellery environments is an advantage.
Ability to understand design intent and convert it into technically sound CAD models.
Qualifications -
