Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced SAP P2P Consultant with 8–10 years of hands-on expertise in SAP Materials Management (MM) and the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process. The ideal candidate will have delivered end-to-end P2P solutions and possess deep domain knowledge in one or more industries (e.g., Manufacturing, Life Sciences, Oil, Retail & Consumer Goods, etc.).
Key Responsibilities & Expertise:
SAP MM & P2P Module Expertise
Lead the design, configuration, and support of SAP MM and P2P processes, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipt, invoice verification, vendor management, and inventory management.
Customize P2P flows to align with unique business requirements and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Business Process Analysis & Optimization
Analyze current Procure-to-Pay processes, identify pain points, and propose standardization or automation opportunities.
Design scalable, efficient P2P process flows to improve procurement efficiency and invoice accuracy.
Cross-Module Integration
Ensure seamless integration of MM with SD, FI/CO, and PP for unified data flow and operational continuity.
Handle process dependencies such as goods movements, invoice posting, and financial reconciliation.
End-User Enablement & Support
Develop and deliver training for P2P cycle users, including requisition creation, order processing, goods receipt, and invoice handling.
Provide expert-level support for operational issues such as blocked invoices, pricing discrepancies, and vendor queries.
Documentation & Compliance
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for MM configurations, functional specifications, test scripts, and training guides.
Ensure documentation supports traceability and handover throughout the project lifecycle.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
Stay updated on the latest innovations in SAP MM and P2P, including SAP Fiori apps, Ariba integration, and advanced procurement analytics.
Drive ongoing improvements in the P2P lifecycle for faster procurement and payment cycles.
Required Skills & Experience:
8–10 years of hands-on experience in SAP MM and P2P process implementation and support.
Proven experience in end-to-end project delivery from blueprinting to post-go-live support.
Strong understanding of procurement procedures, inventory management, vendor evaluation, and logistics execution.
Integration knowledge with FI/CO, SD, and PP modules.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience working in global delivery models with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Experience in Engineering, Construction & Operations (EC&O) and/or Manufacturing industries.
Exposure to SAP S/4HANA MM, SAP Ariba, or SAP Fiori apps for procurement.
Familiarity with supplier collaboration platforms and procurement analytics.
Education Qualifications & Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
Master’s degree (e.g., MBA in Operations, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management) is preferred.
SAP Certification in SAP MM (Materials Management) or SAP S/4HANA Procurement is highly desirable.
