Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior API Developer to join a cross-functional product team focused on building scalable and responsible digital solutions. This role requires strong backend expertise, architectural thinking, and close collaboration with business stakeholders and engineering teams.
You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust APIs and backend systems, while contributing to technical direction and potentially taking on Tech Lead responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs.
Build and manage integrations across systems and services.
Contribute to system and solution architecture decisions.
Work with streaming technologies and data pipelines.
Collaborate closely with product owners, stakeholders, and other development teams.
Ensure high performance, reliability, and security of applications.
Mentor team members and provide technical leadership when needed.
Required Qualifications:
Extensive experience in backend development (senior level).
Strong expertise in API development and integrations.
Proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java.
Solid understanding of system architecture and scalable system design.
Experience building robust, high-availability systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with streaming architecture (e.g., Kafka).
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS.
Frontend development experience is a plus.
Previous experience in a Tech Lead or similar leadership role.
