Job Summary
Provide professional interpretation and translation support for Chinese engineers working in the
New Energy Vehicle (NEV) manufacturing plant. Facilitate effective communication between
Chinese technical experts and local teams to ensure smooth project execution, production
operations, and problem-solving processes.
Key Responsibilities
Provide on-site interpretation (Chinese–English / Chinese–Malay) during meetings, technical discussions, trainings, and daily communication.
Translate technical documents, including SOPs, work instructions, reports, emails, and presentations.
Support communication between Chinese engineers and local departments such as Production, Quality, Engineering, EHS, Maintenance, and Supply Chain.
Assist in coordinating cross-functional discussions related to manufacturing processes, equipment installation, commissioning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure accurate and professional translation of technical terminology related to automotive and NEV production.
Support expatriate engineers in daily communication to improve work efficiency and collaboration.
Perform other tasks assigned by the management team.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Languages, Engineering, Business, or related field.
Proficient in Chinese and English and Malay.
Prior experience in interpretation or translation within manufacturing environment is preferred.
Familiarity with automotive or New Energy Vehicle production terminology is an advantage.
Good communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced factory environment.
Strong sense of responsibility, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Fresh graduates or interns are welcome to apply.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting Chinese expatriates in manufacturing industry.
Knowledge of technical terminology related to production, equipment, or engineering.
Strong cross-cultural communication skills.
