Job Summary
We are seeking a Process Engineer (MFE) to support manufacturing operations by developing, optimising, and maintaining efficient production processes. The role involves new product introduction (NPI), process improvement, and quality assurance to meet production and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Manage new product set-up, start-up, and transfer from project phase to mass production
Design and develop production line layouts, process flow, and machine specifications
Conduct trial runs, process validation, and capability studies (Cpk, Cmk)
Develop and maintain process documentation (SOP, PFMEA, PQAP, Control Plan)
Provide technical support for traceability systems, leak testing, and inspection systems
Lead continuous improvement (Kaizen) initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste
Monitor and improve manufacturing KPIs (yield, scrap, cycle time, efficiency)
Handle engineering changes (ECN), machine modifications, and process troubleshooting
Support customer complaints investigation and 8D problem-solving activities
Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 / Quality Management System (QMS) requirements
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or equivalent)
Minimum 3 years of experience in Process / Production Engineering
Experience in automotive or manufacturing environment is preferred
Knowledge of process capability (Cpk, Cmk), PFMEA, Control Plan, and Lean Manufacturing
Familiar with problem-solving tools (8D, Root Cause Analysis, Fishbone, 5 Why)
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
