Role Overview
We are looking for a Principal Electrical Engineer for one of our clients in Västerås. In this expert role, you will independently lead and coordinate complex electrical engineering activities within control and protection engineering for SvK substation projects. You will draw cubicle and plant engineering schematics in ElMaster EPC and bring hands-on experience in retrofit projects or projects involving relay exchange.
What You'll Do
Lead, plan, and coordinate complex electrical engineering activities across one or more engineering disciplines
Develop control and protection concepts for SvK substation projects
Draw cubicle and plant engineering schematics in ElMaster EPC
Support retrofit projects and projects involving exchange of relays
Serve as technical consultant to management and customers on advanced engineering studies and complex problem resolution
Coordinate major engineering tasks of substantial impact
Proactively develop and implement measures to improve operations and customer satisfaction
Collaborate internally and with other groups to accomplish engineering objectives
Who You Are
Must-Have Requirements:
Minimum 6 years of experience in electrical engineering including leadership/management responsibilities and a Bachelor's or Master's degree, or alternatively 15+ years of relevant technical experience without a degree
Experience working with control and protection concepts for SvK substation projects
Experience drawing cubicle and plant engineering schematics in ElMaster EPC
Experience as electrical designer in retrofit projects or relay exchange projects
Fluent in spoken and written English and Swedish (both mandatory)
Valid SSG-Entré certificate
Ability to work primarily onsite in Västerås (some remote within Sweden possible)
