Material Manager
Leading manufacturer of automotive and industrial components
Role: Section Incharge- Materials
Reporting to: HEAD- MATERIALS
Location: Sinnar, Nashik
Education Qualification: DME / BE (Mech)
Purpose: To ensure the supply of materials meet the production schedule and minimum stock levels to ensure operational and production continuity
Technical & Professional Knowledge required
• Stores & inventory Management
• Supply Chain Management
• Logistics
• PPC and receiving management
• Inventory Management
Experience required
• 8-10 Years of experience in the following:
• Procurement Direct / Indirect Material
• Raw Material Planning
• Preferably in Auto Sector
Roles & responsibilities
1.To perform vendor evaluation activity and selection of the vendor.
2. Float RFQ, get quotations and prepare comparison and cost sheets
3. End to end responsible for P2P (Procure to Pay) cycle
4. Zero base costing
5. Knowledge of Engineering Manufacturing process
6. Materials Planning, Scheduling and procurement
8. To perform QMS activity for the SCM function
9. Subcontracting and Job work management
10. Achieve yearly cost savings as per target
11. Contract Management.
12. Ensure No production loss due to unavailability of Material
13. Develop capable vendors for Quality & Cost saving improvements Establish a system for timely closer of requisition items
