About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled and passionate "Software engineer" to join one of our client's team in the Netherlands. Our client is a global digital products and services company specialising in AI-powered solutions, cloud transformation, data modernisation, and digital engineering. The organisation supports businesses across multiple industries in accelerating digital transformation and improving operational efficiency.
This position involves designing, coding, testing, and deploying robust applications using Java, AWS, and NoSQL technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable systems that meet business requirements, ensuring high performance, availability, and clean architecture in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do?
Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable applications using Java and Spring Boot.
Implement cloud solutions on AWS, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability.
Utilize NoSQL databases (such as DynamoDB, MongoDB, or Cassandra) to store and retrieve data efficiently.
Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Integrate user-facing elements using server-side logic and build RESTful APIs.
Perform code reviews, provide constructive feedback to team members, and maintain proper documentation.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing applications and systems.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to backend engineering, cloud platforms, and distributed systems.
Who You Are?
Core Technical Skills: Strong Java coding proficiency, Data Structures & Algorithms, system designing, and backend development.
Cloud & Infrastructure: Strong experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS).
Databases: Solid experience with NoSQL databases, specifically DynamoDB, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
Architecture & Frameworks: Experience working on large-scale projects, microservices architecture, and Spring Boot.
Development Practices: Knowledge of RESTful web services, API development, and version control systems (Git).
Monitoring & Tools: Familiarity with Grafana, modern IDEs (such as Eclipse or IntelliJ IDEA), and software development best practices.
Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
