About the Company
A rapidly growing, venture-backed technology company is building a new generation of consumer products powered by generative AI. The platform enables users to create and discover interactive experiences without traditional programming.
The company has achieved significant consumer adoption in a short period and is scaling rapidly ahead of a major U.S. market expansion. The engineering team is small, highly technical, and composed of experienced engineers from leading technology companies and research organizations.
This is an opportunity to join at a pivotal stage, with significant ownership over the frontend architecture and product experience.
About the Role
We are looking for a Member of Technical Staff, Frontend with 7+ years of software engineering experience to help scale a high-growth consumer platform.
You will operate at an L6/Staff-caliber level, owning complex user-facing features while helping shape frontend architecture, performance, and scalability. You will work closely with senior engineering leadership and have significant autonomy in taking projects from concept through production.
What You'll Do
Build and own core consumer-facing experiences using React, Next.js, TypeScript, and React Native
Take features from initial concept and technical design through production launch
Solve complex frontend performance, scalability, and reliability challenges
Build data-rich and potentially real-time user interfaces at significant scale
Work across the frontend stack, including caching, server-rendered pages, authentication, APIs, and backend integrations
Contribute to frontend architecture and engineering standards
Partner closely with product and engineering teams to make fast, pragmatic technical decisions
Ship frequently in a high-autonomy, fast-moving environment
Help prepare the platform for continued rapid user and product growth
What We're Looking For
7+ years of frontend/software engineering experience
Staff/L6-level engineering capability
Deep production experience with React and TypeScript
Experience building high-quality, data-rich, real-time, or highly interactive user interfaces
Strong frontend architecture and system-design skills
Experience building consumer-facing products at scale
Ability to independently take a product or technical problem from idea to shipped product
Strong understanding of backend systems and APIs, even if your primary focus is frontend
Strong technical communication and ability to make decisions independently
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline from a strong university
Preferred Qualifications
Experience at a major consumer technology company or high-performing startup
React Native experience
Experience with large-scale consumer platforms or marketplaces
Experience optimizing frontend performance at significant scale
Experience working with real-time or highly dynamic applications
Experience owning architecture for complex product areas
What We're Not Looking For
Candidates whose experience is primarily internal tools or enterprise administration interfaces
Frontend platform/build-system specialists without significant consumer product experience
Candidates focused primarily on infrastructure, QA, or backend engineering
Candidates with very long experience but limited recent hands-on product development
Candidates who require a fully remote arrangement
