Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and results-driven Store Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our retail location. The ideal candidate is passionate about retail, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and excels at motivating and developing teams. As Store Manager, you will ensure exceptional customer service, operational efficiency, and strong sales performance, while fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities for Store Operations and Leadership
- Oversee all aspects of daily store operations, ensuring the store runs smoothly, efficiently, and meets all safety and compliance standards.
- Lead, inspire, and develop a diverse team to deliver outstanding customer experiences and achieve sales targets.
- Recruit, train, schedule, and manage store staff, providing ongoing feedback and coaching for high performance.
- Maintain attractive and organised product displays that reflect company standards and enhance the in-store customer journey.
- Monitor inventory levels, process deliveries, and conduct regular stock checks to maintain accurate records and minimise losses.
- Analyse sales reports to identify trends and opportunities for growth, implementing strategies to improve store performance.
- Ensure high standards of health, safety, and security at all times, complying with company policies and local regulations.
- Manage cash handling procedures and oversee all point-of-sale systems and processes.
- Handle customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally, ensuring a positive banking of service recovery.
Store Manager Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience as a Store Manager, Assistant Manager, or in a supervisory retail role is essential.
- Strong leadership skills, with a proven track record of motivating teams to achieve targets and deliver excellent customer service.
- Excellent organisational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Solid understanding of retail operations, stock management, and financial processes.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to build effective working relationships with colleagues and customers alike.
- Competent IT skills, including experience with point-of-sale systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
