Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and operationally focused "Surgery Center Administrator" for one of our client's in Hilo, Hawaii to assume full leadership and control over the operating functions, processes, and staff of our surgical facility.
This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient delivery of surgical services that consistently exceed customer expectations while driving continuous improvement in both clinical and financial operations.The Administrator acts as the central hub for the facility, balancing high-quality patient care with fiscal responsibility and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
The Administrator is responsible for the overall operational, financial, and clinical success of the facility.
* Operational Leadership & Management
- Assume full P&L and operational responsibility for the daily operation of the facility.
- Direct and coordinate all administrative, clinical, and logistical processes to maximize efficiency and service quality.
- Lead discussions and presentations during the Monthly Operations Review call with the Home Office team (USPI).
- Rigorous focus on improving both clinical and financial operations to ensure high performance.
* Governance, Reporting & Compliance
- Report on pertinent activities and performance metrics concerning the facility to the Governing Board at regular intervals.
- Ensure the facility operates in compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
- Formulate and execute planning for the services provided by the facility and its ongoing operation.
* Staff and Physician Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage all facility staff, fostering a culture of excellence and patient-centered care.
- Appoint a designated person responsible for the facility in the absence of the Administrator.
- Actively engage in physician relations and recruitment to build and maintain strong physician partnerships.
Qualification & Experience:
* Professional Experience & Education
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership capacity within an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) or the hospital surgical space.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Ideal Candidate Profile (Strong Preference): A RN (Registered Nurse) with significant ASC leadership experience or hospital surgical leadership experience with ASC exposure.
* Screening and Local Requirements
- Mandatory: Must have experience working in an Ambulatory Surgery Center as an experienced clinical leader.
- Mandatory: Must have experience in building relationships with and recruitment of Physicians.
- Mandatory: Candidate must currently reside in Hawaii (Local status is essential).
* Competencies:
- Good command of the English language, both verbal and written.
- Exceptional ability to work well and collaborate effectively with physicians, employees, patients, and other stakeholders.
- Must possess strong leadership skills relevant to the surgery center environment.
