Role Overview
We are hiring a Nurse Manager, RN for one of our clients. The Neuroscience Unit at a leading Baltimore hospital is a 36-bed unit and a key part of a Joint Commission and Maryland-certified Primary Stroke Center. In this leadership role, you will ensure safe, age-appropriate patient care, serve as a role model and advisor for the care team, oversee unit operations, and drive high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced neuro/tele environment. This position requires strong clinical expertise in neuroscience/neuro-tele nursing combined with proven hospital nurse management experience.
What You’ll Do
Ensure safe, age-appropriate patient care during unit operations
Act as role model, advisor, resource, and leader for the patient care team
Oversee unit staffing, scheduling, and daily operations
Collaborate with physicians, staff, and leadership to improve patient outcomes
Drive quality, safety, and compliance in a Primary Stroke Center environment
Manage performance, mentoring, and development of nursing staff
Support neuro/tele patient care delivery and unit efficiency
Who You Are
Active Maryland RN license (or eligibility to obtain)
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree preferred
Minimum 3 years of hospital Nurse Manager experience
Minimum 3 years of Neuro/Tele clinical nursing experience
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
NIHSS certification within 90 days of hire
