JD Brief – Site Engineer (Crane Rail Projects)
Location: PAN India (mainly Sea Ports)
Experience: 3–5 Years
Qualification: Diploma or BE/BTech in Mechanical Engineering
Joining: Immediate
Working Days: Monday to Saturday
What does this role do?
This is a field-based Site Engineer position where you will be responsible for managing and executing crane rail installation projects at ports and industrial sites across India.
The company works on crane rail systems used for:
Port cranes
Gantry cranes
Ship unloaders
Rail Mounted Gantry Cranes (RMGC)
Quay Cranes (STS/RMQC)
Main Responsibilities
Site Execution
Supervise crane rail installation work at project sites.
Manpower Management
Allocate workers and resources.
Ensure work is completed on time.
Quality & Safety
Check installation quality.
Follow safety standards and site regulations.
Technical Work
Read engineering drawings.
Prepare project drawings/designs and get client approvals.
Coordination
Work with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
Reporting
Maintain daily progress reports.
Travel
Travel extensively across India to different port locations.
Skills They Are Looking For
Knowledge of crane rail installation and alignment
Experience in industrial or port projects
Team handling capability
Site coordination experience
Ability to read technical drawings
Good communication and problem-solving skills
Ideal Candidate
Someone who:
Has worked on site execution projects.
Can manage labour teams.
Is comfortable with frequent travel.
Has 3–5 years of mechanical/site engineering experience.
